A tug of war, won by Pity

5 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

Pity finishes on 108 points, 31 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Kiki took second with 77 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Kiki spent a long time on the red lantern and came out clean — determined not to buy the round.

Third, and on the podium: Luis, with 75 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Luis said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Last place: Elena, with 68 points. Started like a champion — top of the table after the last of the opening eights — and finished like a tragedy. In the first of the opening eights: Elena said 1, scooped 4, and Luis was left counting the pieces.
