Emi closes out the table, with 63 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. Emi had the table at their feet after the six-card hand on the way down. Whist was there to remind them nothing lasts forever. In the third of the closing eights, Emi bid 0 and took 3 — and Elena went down with it.

Elena rounds out the podium with 69 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The last hand decided it: Elena went past Emi right on the line. Elena was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Second place for Mihai, with 90 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. Mihai was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way up.

Ana comes out on top of everyone, with 98 points. The cards were kind. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.
