The comeback of Ana

The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Elena closed the table from the back, on 67 points — there is always a next game. 2 hands in a row: Elena broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Claudiu in 5th, with 73 points. The comfort zone. In the fourth of the opening eights, Claudiu bid 1 and took 4 — and Catalin went down with it.

In 4th place, GIBO, on 92 points. In the fifth of the middle eights, GIBO bid 1 and took 5 — and Catalin went down with it. After the two-card hand on the way up, GIBO was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, on the podium: Mihai, up there with eyes on the top step. Mihai left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Catalin led for 10 hands but finished second, 4 points behind. Catalin was ahead of Ana right up to the last hand.

Ana crossed the finish line first, on 121 points. Ana only went in front at the very last hand. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.
