Cosmin, from start to finish

6 players, 30 hands, one winner. Here is how it went.

Cosmin wins by 22 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. In the fifth of the middle eights: Cosmin said 1, scooped 4, and Alina was left counting the pieces. In front from the fifth of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about.

Coca took second with 122 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Coca swore 0 in the last of the closing eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Pity rounds out the podium with 109 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 2 hands in a row: Pity broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Mara finished 4th with 101 points. Mara said they'd take nothing in the fourth of the opening eights... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

In 5th place, Denisa, on 101 points. Level on points with Mara, and behind only on the tie-break.

Last, but with style: Alina, with 99 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. Alina said they'd take nothing in the first of the opening eights... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.
