edge comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 39 slips at the table and scores from 82 down to 66.

edge comes out on top of everyone, with 82 points. The cards were kind. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. At one stretch, 10 good hands in a row.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Vyce, with 73 points. Vyce got past Daniela at the very last hand. In the three-card hand on the way down: Vyce said 0, scooped 3, and Cozo was left counting the pieces.

Daniela completed the podium with 70 points. Daniela was ahead of Vyce right up to the last hand. 2 hands in a row: only Daniela slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Daniela.

Last place: Cozo, with 66 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Cozo was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
