Roua comes back from behind

The cards went out, and so did the egos. Here is what came of it.

First place: Roua, with 120 points. The rest, see you in the replay. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. And that despite a slip in the very last hand. Roua cried laughing 6 times 😂 — the cheapest entertainment at the table.

Second place for GIBO, with 114 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. GIBO got past Adrian Gh at the very last hand. In the seven-card hand on the way up: GIBO said 2, scooped 5, and Adrian Gh and HelenC were left counting the pieces. In the third of the opening eights the table couldn't make up its mind about GIBO: 2 chairs and 1 kiss flew in within seconds 🪑💋.

Adrian Gh rounds out the podium with 113 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Adrian was ahead of GIBO right up to the last hand. 11 good hands in a row — at one point, Adrian was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Neither at the front nor at the back: crista in 4th, with 106 points. The comfort zone. The last hand decided it: crista went past HelenC right on the line. After the seven-card hand on the way up, crista was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

HelenC finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 100 points. HelenC was ahead of crista right up to the last hand. After the four-card hand on the way up, HelenC was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Last place, with dignity: CCC, with 100 points. Somebody had to do it. Level on points with HelenC, and behind only on the tie-break. The first of the closing eights: 2 chairs thrown at CCC in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.

Well played everyone — and especially Roua!
