Coca takes the table
4 players · 24 September 2026
An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 38 slips at the table and scores from 109 down to 49.
Coca took the game with 109 points and a 24-point cushion — never really in doubt. 11 good hands in a row — at one point, Coca was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
Emi took second with 85 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Emi didn't — but insisted, with dignity. Emi was even in front after the last of the opening eights.
Third, on the podium: Vyce, up there with eyes on the top step. Vyce said they'd take nothing in the first of the middle eights... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.
Daniel S took last place without any nerves at all, on 49 points. From leader to red lantern. The little wedge tipped the big cart — and the cart was Daniel. 2 hands in a row: only Daniel slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Daniel.
Well played everyone. Same table next time?
