The comeback of Lucky

The lead passed from hand to hand, 8 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Last place: Mihai, with 69 points. Leading by the book until the seven-card hand on the way down... then the cards turned the page. Mihai, hard luck. In the first of the opening eights: Mihai said 3, made 6, and the evening was ruined for Ana.

Third, and on the podium: Ana, with 81 points. Level on points with Elena, and behind only on the tie-break. Ana was ahead of Elena right up to the last hand.

Elena finishes second, 9 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. The last hand decided it: Elena went past Ana right on the line. Elena was even in front after the last of the middle eights. In the last of the opening eights the table couldn't make up its mind about Elena: 1 chair and 1 kiss flew in within seconds 🪑💋.

Lucky crossed the finish line first, on 90 points. In the second of the middle eights: Lucky said 2, made 6, and the evening was ruined for Mihai. Lucky was even last after the three-card hand on the way down, which makes the win all the sweeter. Lucky declared the table on fire 3 times 🔥.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
