Denisa comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 50 slips at the table and scores from 100 down to 76.

Denisa won by a whisker, with just 2 points — at whist even one point is as good as a mile.

Gigel finished second, just 2 points short of the win. Gigel was even in front after the six-card hand on the way up.

Daniela rounds out the podium with 89 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the third of the opening eights: Daniela called 0, took 4, and Alice and Gigel were left out in the cold. 9 good hands in a row — at one point, Daniela was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Alice in 4th, with 81 points. The comfort zone. The last hand decided it: Alice went past Petru right on the line. In the fourth of the opening eights, Alice bid 2 and took 5 — and Petru went down with it.

Petru closes out the table, with 76 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. Petru was ahead of Alice right up to the last hand. 2 hands in a row: only Petru slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Petru.
