The comeback of Luis

The lead changed hands 4 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Last, but with style: Mihai, with 77 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. Leading by the book until the first of the middle eights... then the cards turned the page. Mihai, hard luck. The place above was a single point away.

Third, and on the podium: Ana, with 78 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Ana said and... hoped. It didn't hold. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row.

Elena led for 19 hands but finished second, 2 points behind. Elena was ahead of Luis right up to the last hand. 2 hands in a row: Elena broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Luis won with 99 points, by a whisker: just 2 points ahead. Luis only went in front at the very last hand. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.
