Elena comes back from behind

Elena crossed the finish line first, on 100 points. Elena was even last after the five-card hand on the way down, which makes the win all the sweeter. At one stretch, 7 good hands in a row.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Tazy, with 95 points. Tazy was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way up.

Daniel S completed the podium with 79 points. Daniel swore 0 in the six-card hand on the way down and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Gigel took last place without any nerves at all, on 57 points. From leader to red lantern. The little wedge tipped the big cart — and the cart was Gigel. In the first of the closing eights: Gigel called 3, took 6, and Tazy was left out in the cold.
