The lead kept changing — Luis came out on top

The lead changed hands 4 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Cosmin closes out the table, with 86 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. In the second of the middle eights: Cosmin called 3, took 6, and Olga was left out in the cold.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Vyce in 4th, with 90 points. The comfort zone. After the two-card hand on the way up, Vyce was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Alina rounds out the podium with 92 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Alina swore 0 in the fourth of the opening eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Olga finished second, just 0 points short of the win. Level on points with Luis, and behind only on the tie-break. In the seven-card hand on the way down, Olga bid 2 and took 5 — and 3 others went down with them. Olga cried laughing 3 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.

Luis finished level with Olga on 100 points and took the win on the tie-break: fewer broken contracts.
