Mihai takes the table

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 39 slips at the table and scores from 96 down to 45.
Champion of the evening: Mihai, with 96 points. The rest, see you in the replay. In the last of the closing eights, Mihai bid 1 and took 4 — and Elena and Radu went down with them. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Elena, with 88 points. At one stretch, 9 good hands in a row.
Third, and on the podium: Iuly, with 75 points. 3 hands in a row: the table said and did, Iuly said and... hoped. It didn't hold. Iuly was even in front after the last of the middle eights.
Radu took last place without any nerves at all, on 45 points. In the second of the opening eights: Radu called 5, took 8, and Elena was left out in the cold.
