Daniel comes back from behind

The lead passed from hand to hand, 5 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Daniel S finishes on 99 points, 20 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

unf0rgettable took second with 79 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, unf0rgettable said and... hoped. It didn't hold. unf0rgettable spent a good while in last place and climbed out of it.

Third, and on the podium: Elena, with 73 points. 11 broken contracts, collected like stamps.

The tail of the table: Mihai, with 71 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai. After the two-card hand on the way up, Mihai was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
