The comeback of Mihai

The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Roua took last place without any nerves at all, on 42 points. In the third of the closing eights: Roua called 0, took 3, and Daniela was left out in the cold.

In 5th place, HelenC, on 80 points. In the first of the middle eights, HelenC bid 2 and took 5 — and Daniela went down with it.

Adrian Gh finished 4th with 105 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Adrian was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Daniela, with 124 points. Level on points with unf0rgettable, and behind only on the tie-break. Daniela was ahead of unf0rgettable right up to the last hand.

unf0rgettable finishes second, 19 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. The last hand decided it: unf0rgettable went past Daniela right on the line.

First place: Mihai, with 143 points. The rest, see you in the replay. Going into the last hand the lead was already 23 — that one was a lap of honour. At one stretch, 13 good hands in a row.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
