A tug of war, won by Luis

The lead passed from hand to hand, 6 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Luis crossed the finish line first, on 98 points. Luis cried laughing 5 times 😂 — the cheapest entertainment at the table.

Second place for Roua, with 83 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Roua said and... hoped. It didn't hold. Roua was even in front after the five-card hand on the way up.

Third, on the podium: Mara, up there with eyes on the top step. Mara said they'd take nothing in the two-card hand on the way down... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Ionela took last place without any nerves at all, on 54 points. In the first of the closing eights: Ionela called 1, took 4, and Luis was left out in the cold. After the two-card hand on the way up, Ionela was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
