unf0rgettable comes back from behind

7 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

unf0rgettable won at a stroll, with 111 points and 22 clear of the rest. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row.

Radu took second with 89 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Radu was even in front after the fourth of the middle eights.

Ana completed the podium with 82 points. In the first of the opening eights, Ana bid 1 and took 4 — and unf0rgettable went down with it.

Elena finished 4th with 73 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Elena was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Mihai took last place without any nerves at all, on 53 points. Mihai had the table at their feet after the last of the opening eights. Whist was there to remind them nothing lasts forever. In the second of the middle eights: Mihai called 5, took 8, and Ana and unf0rgettable were left out in the cold.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
