The comeback of unf0rgettable

The lead passed from hand to hand, 5 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Last place, with dignity: Radu, with 96 points. Somebody had to do it. In the fourth of the closing eights: Radu said 3, made 7, and the evening was ruined for Mihai and unf0rgettable. The place above was a single point away.

Mihai finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 97 points. Mihai was ahead of Ana right up to the last hand. After the first of the closing eights, Mihai was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Ana, with 101 points. Ana got past Mihai at the very last hand. In the third of the opening eights: Ana said 3, scooped 6, and Radu was left counting the pieces.

Elena led for 9 hands but finished second, 5 points behind. Elena swore 0 in the five-card hand on the way down and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

unf0rgettable takes the game with 112 points and goes home happy. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 11 good hands in a row — at one point, unf0rgettable was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
