The comeback of unf0rgettable

The lead passed from hand to hand, 8 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Mara closed the table from the back, on 85 points — there is always a next game. The table was Mara's after the last of the opening eights; the second half had other ideas. 2 hands in a row: Mara broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Denisa finished 4th with 87 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Denisa was leading the table — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Pity, with 91 points. In the first of the opening eights: Pity said 2, scooped 5, and Gigel was left counting the pieces. Pity was ahead of unf0rgettable right up to the last hand.

Gigel finished second, just 1 point short of the win. Gigel got past Pity at the very last hand. Gigel was even in front after the third of the middle eights.

unf0rgettable won by a whisker, with just 1 point — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. unf0rgettable only went in front at the very last hand. In the fourth of the middle eights, unf0rgettable bid 3 and took 6 — and Gigel and Mara went down with them.
