Edy never gave up the lead

The lead changed hands 4 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Last, but with style: Teo, with 71 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. In the second of the closing eights: Teo said 0, scooped 3, and Edy was left counting the pieces.

Gabriel finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 83 points. In the last of the closing eights: Gabriel said 0, made 3, and the evening was ruined for Padre. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Gabriel didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Padre finished 4th with 112 points. Padre was ahead of CATA right up to the last hand. After the fifth of the closing eights, Padre was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

CATA completed the podium with 117 points. The last hand decided it: CATA went past Padre right on the line.

TaNE took the runner-up spot with 131 points. One card, a single card, and TaNE still got it wrong on the one-card hand. It happens even in the best houses.

Edy gathered 138 points and the hearts of the crowd. Bravo! In front from the last of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. At one stretch, 11 good hands in a row.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
