The comeback of Danela

The lead passed from hand to hand, 6 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Elena closed the table from the back, on 68 points — there is always a next game. After the second of the closing eights, Elena was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Roua completed the podium with 75 points. Roua was ahead of Danela right up to the last hand.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Mihai, with 77 points. Mihai got past Roua at the very last hand.

Danela won the game with 83 points. Danela only went in front at the very last hand. Danela was even last after the first of the middle eights, which makes the win all the sweeter.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
