A tug of war, won by Luis

The lead changed hands 7 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Luis crossed the finish line first, on 102 points. In the second of the middle eights: Luis said 3, scooped 7, and Daniel S and Ionela were left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Luis didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Second place for Daniel S, with 83 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. Daniel was even in front after the third of the middle eights.

Ionela rounds out the podium with 57 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The first of the closing eights: Ionela bid 7, made fewer, and counted the regrets.

Mihai took last place without any nerves at all, on 34 points. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai. Before the last eights, only 10 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold.
