Emi never gave up the lead

Luis took second with 79 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. In the last of the opening eights: Luis called 3, took 6, and PaulP was left out in the cold. In the last of the middle eights, 3 chairs flew at Luis within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.

Emi took the game with 100 points and a 21-point cushion — never really in doubt. In front from the last of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 9 good hands in a row — at one point, Emi was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards. The four-card hand on the way up: 1 chair and 1 kiss flew at Emi 🪑💋 — the table couldn't decide whether it adored them.
