Ioana wins the evening

The cards are back in the box. Here is what happened at the table.

Last place, with dignity: PaulP, with 83 points. Somebody had to do it. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, PaulP said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Mihai finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 93 points. In the fifth of the opening eights: Mihai said 0, made 3, and the evening was ruined for Emi.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Elena in 4th, with 114 points. The comfort zone. 2 hands in a row: Elena broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. After the five-card hand on the way up, Elena was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Emi rounds out the podium with 116 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The place above was a single point away.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Radu, with 117 points. Radu was even in front after the four-card hand on the way up. At one stretch, 10 good hands in a row.

Ioana crossed the finish line first, on 129 points.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
