Vyce wins the evening

A game of broken contracts — 37 of them around the table, and scores from 96 all the way down to 70.

Last place, with dignity: Catalin, with 70 points. Somebody had to do it. Leading by the book until the last of the opening eights... then the cards turned the page. Catalin, hard luck. In the second of the closing eights: Catalin said 2, scooped 5, and Vyce was left counting the pieces.

Luis rounds out the podium with 79 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 10 behind Ionela, 9 ahead of Catalin — right in the thick of it. Luis cried laughing 6 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.

Second place for Ionela, with 89 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Ionela didn't — but insisted, with dignity. The three-card hand on the way up: 2 chairs thrown at Ionela in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.

Vyce won the game with 96 points. Vyce only went in front at the very last hand. In the last of the opening eights: Vyce called 0, took 3, and Luis was left out in the cold.
