Cozo wins the evening

Another evening at the green baize — a bit of everything, just like home.

Mihai took last place without any nerves at all, on 56 points. 3 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Mihai didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Third, and on the podium: Daniela, with 91 points. Level on points with Alice, and behind only on the tie-break. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Daniela said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Alice took second with 91 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. The first of the opening eights: Alice called 7 with the heart, not the cards. Eyes bigger than the hand.

Cozo finishes on 127 points, 36 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. 16 good hands in a row — at one point, Cozo was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Well played everyone — and especially Cozo!
