Elena comes back from behind

The cards went out, and so did the egos. Here is what came of it.

Elena crossed the finish line first, on 138 points.

Daniela took the runner-up spot with 120 points. 2 hands in a row: Daniela broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. Daniela was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Catalin rounds out the podium with 118 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the fifth of the middle eights: Catalin called 0, took 5, and Mihai was left out in the cold. 2 hands in a row: Catalin broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. Catalin couldn't bear to look 4 times 🙈 — some cards are not meant to be seen.

CCC finished 4th with 101 points. CCC got past Claudiu at the very last hand. After the four-card hand on the way up, CCC was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Claudiu finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 96 points. In the fourth of the opening eights: Claudiu said 0, made 3, and the evening was ruined for Mihai. Claudiu was ahead of CCC right up to the last hand. The third of the opening eights: 2 chairs thrown at Claudiu in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.

Mihai closes out the table, with 88 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. 12 broken contracts, collected like stamps.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
