Elena, from start to finish

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 36 slips at the table and scores from 107 down to 37.

First place: Elena, with 107 points. In front from the first of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. Going into the last hand the lead was already 25 — that one was a lap of honour.

Ana finishes second, 17 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. Ana left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Mihai rounds out the podium with 89 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The place above was a single point away.

Emi took last place without any nerves at all, on 37 points. In the last of the opening eights: Emi said 2, scooped 5, and Mihai was left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Emi didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
