The comeback of Vlad

The lead passed from hand to hand, 6 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Mihai took last place without any nerves at all, on 75 points. In the third of the middle eights: Mihai said 1, scooped 4, and Vlad was left counting the pieces.

Radu finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 109 points. Radu left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

In 4th place, Elena, on 116 points. After the fourth of the closing eights, Elena was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, on the podium: Ioana, up there with eyes on the top step. Ioana was even in front after the six-card hand on the way down. At one stretch, 9 good hands in a row.

Ana led for 19 hands but finished second, 8 points behind. Ana said they'd take nothing in the fourth of the middle eights... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

First place and peace of mind: Vlad, with 132 points. Vlad only went in front at the very last hand.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
