Elena takes the table

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 38 slips at the table and scores from 100 down to 59.

Elena wins by 20 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band.

PaulP took second with 80 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. 2 hands in a row: PaulP broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. PaulP was even in front after the last of the opening eights. PaulP cried laughing 5 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.

Mihai completed the podium with 68 points. One card, a single card, and Mihai still got it wrong on the one-card hand. It happens even in the best houses.

Ana closed the table from the back, on 59 points — there is always a next game. In the last of the closing eights: Ana called 2, took 5, and PaulP was left out in the cold. After the first of the closing eights, Ana was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
