Elena takes the table

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 37 slips at the table and scores from 107 down to 52.

Elena wins by 24 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. At one stretch, 7 good hands in a row.

Ana took second with 83 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Ana left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Third, on the podium: Luis, up there with eyes on the top step. In the third of the middle eights: Luis said 3, scooped 6, and Ana was left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Luis didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Mihai took last place without any nerves at all, on 52 points. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai.
