The comeback of Mihai

The lead passed from hand to hand, 6 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Nico took last place without any nerves at all, on 60 points. The table was Nico's after the four-card hand on the way down; the second half had other ideas. 2 hands in a row: Nico broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Elena rounds out the podium with 87 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the second of the opening eights, Elena bid 0 and took 3 — and Nico went down with it. Elena was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way down.

Ana finished second, just 0 points short of the win. Level on points with Mihai, and behind only on the tie-break. Ana was even in front after the six-card hand on the way up.

Neck and neck with Ana, but Mihai kept their word better when it counted. In the last of the closing eights: Mihai said 3, made 6, and the evening was ruined for Nico. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row.
