The lead changed hands 5 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.
Roua comes out on top of everyone, with 84 points. The cards were kind.
Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Cretu, with 76 points. In the first of the middle eights: Cretu said 5, scooped 8, and Denisa was left counting the pieces. Cretu was even in front after the last of the opening eights.
crista rounds out the podium with 67 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The last hand decided it: crista went past Denisa right on the line.
The tail of the table: Denisa, with 67 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. Level on points with crista, and behind only on the tie-break. In the last of the opening eights: Denisa called 0, took 3, and crista was left out in the cold.
Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
