Elena wins the evening

One evening, 6 players, a single crown. The rest — stories to tell over coffee.

Last place: Ana, with 78 points. Level on points with Radu, and behind only on the tie-break. Ana was ahead of Radu right up to the last hand.

Radu finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 78 points. Radu got past Ana at the very last hand. 4 hands in a row: the table said and did, Radu said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Ioana finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 94 points. In the first of the middle eights: Ioana said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Mihai. Ioana spent a long time on the red lantern and came out clean — determined not to buy the round.

Third, and on the podium: Mihai, with 116 points. Mihai said they'd take nothing in the two-card hand on the way down... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Second place for Vlad, with 133 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. In the five-card hand on the way down: Vlad called 1, took 4, and Ana was left out in the cold. Vlad was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

First place and peace of mind: Elena, with 152 points. 12 good hands in a row — at one point, Elena was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
