Scorpio04 comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 38 slips at the table and scores from 95 down to 65.

First place: Scorpio04, with 95 points. The rest, see you in the replay. Scorpio04 was even last after the three-card hand on the way down, which makes the win all the sweeter. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Scorpio04 said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Elena, with 81 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Elena said and... hoped. It didn't hold. Elena spent a long time on the red lantern and came out clean — determined not to buy the round.

PaulP rounds out the podium with 76 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 2 hands in a row: PaulP broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. PaulP was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Mihai closed the table from the back, on 65 points — there is always a next game. Mihai had the table at their feet after the four-card hand on the way down. Whist was there to remind them nothing lasts forever. In the last of the middle eights, Mihai bid 2 and took 5 — and PaulP went down with it.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
