The comeback of Ana

The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Last place, with dignity: Mihai, with 69 points. Somebody had to do it. 3 hands in a row: the table said and did, Mihai said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Elena completed the podium with 80 points. 2 hands in a row: only Elena slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Elena.

Kiki led for 10 hands but finished second, 20 points behind. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Kiki didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Ana wins by 20 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row.
