Emi takes the table
4 players · 25 September 2026
An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 43 slips at the table and scores from 89 down to 65.
Emi wins by 21 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Emi said and... hoped. It didn't hold. And that despite a slip in the very last hand. The five-card hand on the way down: 2 chairs thrown at Emi in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.
Luis took second with 68 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Luis didn't — but insisted, with dignity. From the tail of the table to a warm spot: Luis plays right down to the last card.
Third, and on the podium: Vyce, with 66 points. Vyce got past Elena at the very last hand. Vyce was even in front after the two-card hand on the way up.
Last, but with style: Elena, with 65 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. Elena was ahead of Vyce right up to the last hand. After the two-card hand on the way up, Elena was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
Well played everyone. Same table next time?
