Roua won with 128 points, by a whisker: just 3 points ahead. Roua only went in front at the very last hand. Roua cried laughing 7 times 😂 — the cheapest entertainment at the table.
Mihai finished second, just 3 points short of the win. Mihai was ahead of Roua right up to the last hand. Mihai was even in front after the fifth of the closing eights.
Third, on the podium: unf0rgettable, up there with eyes on the top step. unf0rgettable got past Adrian Gh at the very last hand. In the second of the opening eights: unf0rgettable said 1, scooped 4, and edge was left counting the pieces.
Neither at the front nor at the back: Adrian Gh in 4th, with 121 points. The comfort zone. Level on points with unf0rgettable, and behind only on the tie-break. In the second of the middle eights, Adrian bid 0 and took 5 — and unf0rgettable went down with it.
edge finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 116 points. edge said they'd take nothing in the third of the opening eights... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.
Raluca closes out the table, with 105 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. Before the last eights, only 5 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold.
