Cretu comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 40 slips at the table and scores from 84 down to 52.

Cretu gathered 84 points and the hearts of the crowd. Bravo! In the second of the opening eights: Cretu said 0, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Gigel and Kiki. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. The second of the opening eights: 2 chairs thrown at Cretu in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.

Elena led for 15 hands but finished second, 8 points behind. The last of the closing eights: Elena called 6 with the heart, not the cards. Eyes bigger than the hand.

Kiki rounds out the podium with 72 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. One card, a single card, and Kiki still got it wrong on the one-card hand. It happens even in the best houses.

Gigel took last place without any nerves at all, on 52 points. 2 hands in a row: Gigel broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. In the last of the opening eights, 2 chairs flew at Gigel within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
