Mihai takes the table

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 35 slips at the table and scores from 105 down to 71.

Mihai finishes on 105 points, 23 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems.

Ana took second with 82 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Ana was even in front after the three-card hand on the way up.

Third, on the podium: Luis, up there with eyes on the top step. Level on points with Ana, and behind only on the tie-break. In the first of the middle eights: Luis said 2, scooped 5, and Monica was left counting the pieces.

Last, but with style: Monica, with 71 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. In the third of the opening eights: Monica said 1, made 4, and the evening was ruined for Ana. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Monica said and... hoped. It didn't hold.
