Elena wins the evening

A game of broken contracts — 34 of them around the table, and scores from 108 all the way down to 75.

Last place, with dignity: Mihai, with 75 points. Somebody had to do it. Mihai was ahead of Luis right up to the last hand. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Mihai said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Luis completed the podium with 78 points. The last hand decided it: Luis went past Mihai right on the line.

Second place for Cristian Imparat, with 96 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. Cristian was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Elena takes the game with 108 points and goes home happy. Going into the last hand the lead was already 22 — that one was a lap of honour. 9 good hands in a row — at one point, Elena was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
