Luis never gave up the lead

Elena completed the podium with 71 points. 2 hands in a row: only Elena slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Elena.

Ioana took second with 77 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. In the second of the middle eights: Ioana said 0, made 4, and the evening was ruined for Ana. Ioana spent a long time on the red lantern and came out clean — determined not to buy the round.

Luis finishes on 111 points, 34 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. In the third of the middle eights: Luis called 4, took 7, and Elena was left out in the cold. In front from the second of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about.
