Ana takes the table

The cards went out, and so did the egos. Here is what came of it.

First place and peace of mind: Ana, with 100 points. 2 hands in a row: Ana broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Second place went to edge, with 91 points. In the last of the opening eights: edge said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Ana and Mihai. 3 hands in a row: the table said and did, edge said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Third, and on the podium: Elena, with 88 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Elena said and... hoped. It didn't hold. At one stretch, 12 good hands in a row.

Mihai closes out the table, with 79 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. After the two-card hand on the way up, Mihai was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
