The comeback of Radu

5 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

Last place, with dignity: Ana, with 102 points. Somebody had to do it. 11 broken contracts, collected like stamps.

Mihai finished 5th with 109 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Mihai was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

In 4th place, Elena, on 114 points. Level on points with Ioana, and behind only on the tie-break. Elena was ahead of Ioana right up to the last hand.

Third, on the podium: Ioana, up there with eyes on the top step. Ioana got past Elena at the very last hand. In the last of the opening eights: Ioana said 1, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Elena.

Cosmin finished second, just 0 points short of the win. Level on points with Radu, and behind only on the tie-break. Cosmin was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way down.

Neck and neck with Cosmin, but Radu kept their word better when it counted. At one stretch, 10 good hands in a row.
