MrXciting takes it in the closing rounds

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 36 slips at the table and scores from 108 down to 61.

MrXciting won by a whisker, with just 2 points — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. At one stretch, 10 good hands in a row. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Ana led for 14 hands but finished second, 2 points behind. 2 hands in a row: only Ana slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Ana.

Third, on the podium: Elena, up there with eyes on the top step. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Elena didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

The tail of the table: Mihai, with 61 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. 2 hands in a row: Mihai broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. After the second of the closing eights, Mihai was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
