PaulP takes the table

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 35 slips at the table and scores from 111 down to 38.

PaulP won by a whisker, with just 3 points — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. In the third of the middle eights, PaulP bid 2 and took 6 — and unf0rgettable went down with it. 12 good hands in a row — at one point, PaulP was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

edge finished second, just 3 points short of the win. edge was even in front after the three-card hand on the way up.

Third, on the podium: unf0rgettable, up there with eyes on the top step. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only unf0rgettable didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Elena took last place without any nerves at all, on 38 points. Started like a champion — top of the table after the last of the opening eights — and finished like a tragedy. In the third of the closing eights: Elena said 1, scooped 4, and unf0rgettable was left counting the pieces.
