The lead kept changing — Daniel came out on top

The lead passed from hand to hand, 5 times over — it was anyone's guess.
GeorgeS took last place without any nerves at all, on 45 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, GeorgeS said and... hoped. It didn't hold. After the seven-card hand on the way up, GeorgeS was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
Third, on the podium: Mihai, up there with eyes on the top step. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Mihai didn't — but insisted, with dignity.
Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Elena, with 116 points. In the first of the closing eights, Elena bid 1 and took 5 — and GeorgeS went down with it. Elena was even in front after the five-card hand on the way down.
First place: Daniel S, with 124 points. At one stretch, 15 good hands in a row.
Well played everyone — and especially Daniel S!
