Daniel never gave up the lead

A game of broken contracts — 39 of them around the table, and scores from 94 all the way down to 57.

Elena took last place without any nerves at all, on 57 points. In the second of the opening eights, Elena bid 2 and took 5 — and Ana went down with it. 2 hands in a row: Elena broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Third, and on the podium: Ana, with 73 points. In the third of the middle eights: Ana said 0, scooped 3, and Mihai was left counting the pieces.

Mihai finishes second, 15 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. Mihai left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Daniel S crossed the finish line first, on 94 points. In front from the last of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. At one stretch, 12 good hands in a row.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
