Mihai comes back from behind

The lead passed from hand to hand, 9 times over — it was anyone's guess.

First place and peace of mind: Mihai, with 101 points. Mihai was even last after the two-card hand on the way up, which makes the win all the sweeter. 2 hands in a row: Mihai broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Ana finishes second, 13 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. Ana was even in front after the six-card hand on the way up.

Third, on the podium: Elena, up there with eyes on the top step. Elena was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Last place, with dignity: Luis, with 75 points. Somebody had to do it. Started like a champion — top of the table after the seven-card hand on the way down — and finished like a tragedy. In the second of the closing eights: Luis said 0, made 4, and the evening was ruined for Elena.
