Ionela takes it in the closing rounds

Ionela finishes on 91 points, 21 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. In the second of the middle eights: Ionela called 0, took 3, and Adi Gh was left out in the cold. In the last of the opening eights the table couldn't make up its mind about Ionela: 1 chair and 1 kiss flew in within seconds 🪑💋.

Roua took second with 70 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Roua was even in front after the second of the middle eights.

Third, on the podium: Adi Gh, up there with eyes on the top step. 12 behind Roua, 10 ahead of Iuly — right in the thick of it.

Last place: Iuly, with 48 points. In the first of the opening eights: Iuly said 1, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Roua. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Iuly said and... hoped. It didn't hold.
